BlueSmirf Connections Question

Was wondering: Would the RX pin of BlueSmirf Connect to the TX pin of the MR3024? Same with TX Pin of BlueSmirf Connecting to RX pin of MR3024?

And If I have a Laptop running Win Xp with a Bluetooth USB Dongle, What PC adjustments would I need to make to Use Bauers Mech Puppeteer Software?

I have the Bluetooth version of Mechpuppeteer Template.bas created by Bauer loaded on RN1

Viper1,

If memory serves I think the ETX and ERX ports are kind of the wrong way round. I think you'll need to connect ETX to the TX pin of the BlueSmirf and ERX to the RX pin on the Bluesmirf. I may be wrong but I remember that it was not the way I expected.

Once you have that connected you'll need to setup a COM port for your bluetooth connection. A bluetooth quick connect/Serial Port will do it, just pic the bluesmirf unit as the other end, I think the default password is default. Once you know the com port you can use that to connect to Mech Puppeteer or any other control app (see http://www.bipedrobots.co.uk/index.aspx?id=206 - sorry shameless plug  )
