My robonova's knee servo started smoking when I was programing it!
Do I need a new servo motor?
If it has anything to do with the zero point, why would it do that?
Damn it!

It doesn't sound like a problem with the zero point. Some things to look for - make sure no wires were pinched or exposed to cause a direct short. Make sure the leg is not binding in any way. How long have you used your RN? If the above points check out, and the humanoid robot has been in use and working good before, then it's likely the servo is defective, and you can return it to Hitec under warranty. Sorry to hear about that happening with the servo. Hitec is good about replacing defective parts, so you should have RN up and running very soon!
