Well, I am having troubles in making my Robonova walk straight when moving backwards, I tried countless times playing around with the servo zero settings but all for nothing. Now I was thinking of extending the size of the shoe by 1 or 2 centimeters. What do you think? Have you ever tried it? Wha material did you use?

Be careful not to make the feet too large. I made some feet twice the standard size for my Bioloid. It was great at keeping the robot standing - but it was not always apparent when the Robot was off balance and stressing the angle servos. I managed to destroy one of the ankle servos due to the bigger feet - so I promptly removed the big feet to save my servos.

try walking backwards yourself for an idea of movement issues. I would not extend the footprint of the feet, I was actually thinking of a reduction until my clamps project started.
Do you have any grip on the undersole? if not then add it. It makes a big difference in walking moves (as seen in my "fast moves" clip).
I also would suggest you make your own back walk as the RN stock move is not the best that can be done.

Marcus.

Once I tried adding rubber on the undersole but it added a "bouncing" effect to my robot, besides, he couldn't do sliding movement.

I think that is the only solution . . . easier said than done!!!! any suggestions or movie clips

My neopreane feet pads do not cover the whole foot, they leave a border to use for sliding.
