I had an issue with the casing of the serial housing on the MR-C3024 board, it needed to be pushed back together after a fall with the cable attached.
I have also needed to make a new serial cable as the supplied one went bad in a short time, due to twisting and untwisting. My own cable uses a much higher grade of cable (Belden 8102).
