Hey Folks,

I've been lurking for a couple of days now, and figured I'd create an account. This seems like it will be an invaluable resource for me over the next two years.

I have absolutely no experience with robotics or electronics. I currently have 3 robonovas built and ready to rock, with two more still requiring assembly.

ATM they are built to basic spec, but I have a couple of gyros, an accelerometer and a bluetooth module which need to be added and played with. I plan to make a few modifications to make them better suit my proposes as well, such as better lifting hands with perhaps shorter legs and loger arms. Did I mention I have no experience with robotics or electronics? lol

I'll probably be scouring these pages and seeking help with things fairly regularly. My plan, in its current form, is as follows: I plan to have the boys controlled via some algorithms written on a pc (not sure what language yet...) and then they will send the commands to the RN via the bluetooth.

So basically the RN controller will be used to take and forward sensor data to the pc, and to execute the servo commands sent from the pc.

I'm working on a robot army to take over the world.

jk

I am using them for research for a master's degree (then if, in the course of my work, I discover a way to use them to build a robot army to take over the world, I may opt to change to that plan ;)
