Charger Usage Warning from Hitec

Just found this on the Hitec Robotics website:

Warning: Using the charger with the RN-1
Some customers have been using the robot while the charger is connected. This will cause problems. Neither the servos nor the controller is designed for the higher voltage the charger provides. To insure the proper lifespan of the product, disconnect the charger before turning the robot on.

Hope no-one minds but thought I'd post it here incase people haven't seen it

Waht is the voltage and current ratings of the charger? My robonova did not come with any charger. Hitec support says they will mail me one.

RubikCube,

In europe they provide an alternative charger - it is a Multiplex 810 WWC - judging from the labels on it it provides a variety of voltages (1.2v to 12v auto selecting) at 800ma.

Hope this helps

Since I have spare battery pack, I buy a DC female jack and 2 Pin connector and sold it together, mind the polarity.

While using the robot, another battery can be charged. See the item from TSUKUMO shop , if you buy the charger, they give you a small cable.
