IR Remote not working!

I have just built the Robonova and so far not been able to get the remote control to work. I am able to program the robot with the Overall Template Program(Version 1.00 2005115).bas and can make it perform its moves using the roboRemocon (v2.5) PC application however it is not clear to me weather or not the remote control should work with this program as is or weather it needs to be modified.

I have used roboRemocon on several occasions to setup a button which presumably becomes the function of that button on the remote control. This does not seem to work.

Having setup the button, i.e. associated an *rsf file, selected IR Remote Control and then downloaded it to the robot it appears to lose its correct zero settings and the button on the remote control still does not work. When the button is pressed, however, the robots eyes dim in response to each press.

What is the correct procedure to setup the robot for use with the remote control handset?

RN needs to be setup for using the Remocon.
You should be able to follow the manual as a
guideline, and get the remote to work with
the remote code setup and software. Once you
have this working, then it will be easy to modify
using the working code as the example.
