What were Kondo KHR's faults that robonova improved on?

Hello

On many sites about robonova i've seen it said that KHR was the first of the two and had a few problems, but robonova has improved on them, so i was wondering, what exactly where those faults and how have they been improved?

Is robonova better?, if so, for what reasons?

Thanks

p.s I probably have to make another post about this, but Konda has many add-ons around, does anyone know if Hitec is planning to bring out add-ons too?

I had an email last night to inform me that a tilt sensor ? will be available in 4-6wks from hitec but no other news as yet.I to would be interested in the improvements made as the KHR-1 seems very well established and a fine bot with lots of help available and many many buyable add ons.

Yes, From what i've seen theres nothing Robonova can do that KHR cant, and vice versa, and kondo seems more established and has many add-ons, but robonova is very new and cheaper not forgetting i have neither so i can't really say.

well, I have been comparing them sometimes, I find KHR has good body structure. It has faster servo response, larger torque and lighte less weight. The most important is that it has a 2DOF Chest/Torso Extension Kit that make the leg rotate!! That is very important, this make the robot run fast when turning around, and is a must in robot competition!!

However, the controller of KHR is not as strong as RN, RN has Robot Basic that increase great flexibility and all electronic seem to be up2date.

I can see RN has increaseing supprt add-on, I hope it will has a 2DOF more on the leg :(

What always hit me when looking at KHR1 is that it looks like an escaped electronic frankestein lab experiment. The RN1 looks a lot better, neater and from what I hear is a bit sturdier.

Also I read somewhere that RN1's servos are quitere than KHR's. Is this true or just a rumor?

I think you are right, from many video, I hear the servo noise of KHR is larger.

but anyway, the shape of this metal-assembled robot of KHR is very common in the robo-one competition in japan and they are really smart!

have a look at these site:

I don't understand what you mean by "the shape"?
