New Factory Built RN-1 no Serial Signal

:?: I have a new Robonova-1 and am unable to make connection to Com1 which is my XP Serial Port. All IR functions work fine. My port baud rate is set for 9600 bps. Is that OK? Any suggestions for additional trouble shooting? Thanks, I am a robot newbie with some servo and controller savy.

:D To my surprise I used a USB to Serial adaptor and everything is working fine.
