I understand the requirement to have a gyro that includes an input and an output. I know the PG3 is recommended and known to work ... but I found this :

http://galaxymodels.co.uk/results-keywo ... yword=gyro

Scroll down to :
"Airtrix A-200D Sub Micro Piezo Gyro"

Its TINY ! I reckon you could get it to fit in under the RN body cover.

I may be able to get it close to the center of gravity too, will that improve its response ?

Anyone know of any reason why it won't work ?

Thanks.

Jon.

i used this on my old RN1 - works fine - if you mount it inside - you'll probably need to drill a couple of small access holes for the trim pot's.

Hi if your looking for small gyro's then try this link
http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk/acata ... Gyros.html

I found 2 Century gyro in my heli box, i've open one of the gyro cases, the board inside is very small, about the same size as a 1p
they seem to have a good response to movement (to slow for heli's).
but fast enought for RN1
can send you some pic's of the board if needed.

IMHO the RN tilt switch is a must - saves picking him up every two minutes
