Hi everyone,
I have a CMUcam 2+ attached to the chest of my RN-1. Now my biggest worry is to prevent my robonova from falling down on its face as it the first thing that will touch the floor will be my camera lens
I have a tilt sensor with me but its useless as its response time is much slower than the time RN-1 takes to fall down. Will the response time of a accelerometer by any better?? If i can detect that the robonova is tilting too much indicating that it is falling, I plan to make it strectch out its arms and protect my camera.
Even if the accelerometer can respond fast enough, is there anyway I can keep a constant check on the tilt value even when a move is being performed. For example, can I make RN-1 constantly monitor its tilt when its moving. Right now, the only way I can think of is to do a check after every small movement involved in the walk subroutine.
Please help me protect my camera
