Here's a video of my RN-1. It's equipt with an acclerometer (would have gyros but they still haven't arrived from my ebay purchase after 2 months...grr) and IR sensor.

I modified the walking and standup motions to work quite well on carpet. He walks continously (rather than a couple of steps at a time) and measures distances to obstacles whilst he is walking.

phpBB [media]

It's currently pretty simple (written in robobasic) but gives the appearance of *some* intelligence. He has a bluetooth module attached and I I hope to use to wirelessly provide more intelligent deicsion making.

Thanks for a super video.

From a socio-Robotic perspective, you have mixed a fine group of interacting players.

I would like to assume

The Roomba is a floor sucking drone, with very basic intelligence. Maybe the soldiers of the future if iRobot get their way

The Cat shows initial interest, yet then displays disinterest. Bored till teatime. What do Humanoids eat ?

The human is happy to push over the robot, but not the cat !

The Robonova appears highly focused on the jacket. Need gyros, need wallet !!

The static vacuum is obvious target of Robonova erotic desire. Robobimbo !

Keep us posted, maybe the first Robo Soap Drama

Hehe. My cat has been most unimpressed with the robots since I got them. I think she's jealous. The gf is definitely jealous.
