Hi all,

Is there a Hitec rep that is in this forum?

This is a great forum, with lots of good info, but I think we are struggling simply because it's the blind leading the blind.

For example, in the SRF-04 discussion, I never would have thought you needed a delay! (I assumed the call would block until done).

It would be really great if we could get Hitec to answer some of these "really hard" issues. The one that has me stumpped still is Gyros,

In particular, seems the Gyros "sort of" work, but not really.
If Hitech could provide a recipe that is a "known working" configuration, or acknowledgement that the gyro routines are not quite ready to use yet, it would help!

Also, it would be great if Hitec had a "know issues" list, so we don't beat our heads on something they know does not work.

I love my RoboNova, and all you guys contributing to the forum rock!

Here Here!!! I totally agree with you.
I'm still struggling with the gyro stuff and yet I know there must be someone at HiTec that has it all figured out.

I can't see why they wouldn't want to help. Not to sound harsh but wouldn't it be in their best interests since we're so heavily promoting or supporting their product?

Hi guys. No, I'm not quite the salvation I think you're looking for, but figured on throwin' out my two cents. Hitec does pop their head in from time to time, but you have to remember that the RN-1 is pretty new. Most of us have had ours no longer than a few months. The KHR-1 has been around for how many years? ...well not too many, but longer than the RN-1. The KHR-1's were as new to Kondo as the RN-1's are now to Hitec. From what I understand, most of its secrets are kept in Korea. The people at Hitec are doing what they can with what they're allocated by HQ.

Having all the answers is nice, but discovery can be equally as fun. You're right though, there are times where we're flat-out vexed. A good shove in the right direction would relieve some of that, but at least at this point, there's going to be a lot of trial and error on our own. I'm sure with some added patience it will get better.

:!: on a side note...
If any of you have the means to get to the San Francisco, CA area, the RoboGames (formerly ROBOlympics) is coming up in June! 8O It's short notice, but there's still time to enter in the event. ...or you can always go as an observer. Either way, it should be an awesome experience. http://www.robogames.net. I have been, and still am, preparing my fella' for the Robo-One "agility" and "wrestling" events. ...doesn't leave much time for anything else unfortunately.

Only two years next June 10th. Kondo is staging a major KHR-1 2nd anniversary celebration at ROX in Asakusa (Tokyo) on June 10th and 11th.
