Is the MSI PC2PC Bluetooth compatible? Please advice.... ANy other model compatible to RN-1? How would you know its a TTL bluetooth? all of the bluetooth i tried are 5V.

I'm working with the BlueSmirf http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=582 I believe it's the one most of us are using here.

To avoid a lot of complications, the dongle you use needs to be readily compatible with the modem. Most places that sell the TTL modems will also tell you which dongle is a good match.

Alternatively you can try using the Blue Soleil software and let it look for your modem. A friend told me that's the only way he can connect to his.

I got a BlueSmirf for the RN1 and a MSI BToes dongle for the PC. Have also got a connection working from an IPAQ 2210 over its bluetooth with a custom .NET 2005 application. The BlueSmirf seems to publish itself to all my bluetooth devices.
