The gyro code is deep within the firmware, so you must use the PG-03 Gyro. You can start with 1 for front/back and later add the second for sideways. Tricky to set up and use, so don't expect instant results !
The accelerometer is read fom Robobasic, so has more options, but the Hitec 2 axis is clearly compatible.
