BAUER grippers

I have several beefs about this product. Firstly, the documentation is EXTREMELY CLEAR about which is left and which is right. Secondly, it is PERFECTLY CLEAR from the documentation what the correct holes are on the servo horns to align with the hardware. For anyone who has wrestled through the Robonova manual and tried to figure out left and right and stared really hard at the printed manuals diagrams of which hole number to align where (or done the same on a zoomed PDF), this was quite a change to adapt to.

I had steeled myself upon arrival of the grippers for hours of head-scratching, assembly, disassembly and re-assembly the correct way around, and I was most disappointed - the PROFESSIONALLY WRITTEN, HUMOUROUS and PICTURE-STREWN documentation made it impossible to make a mistake in the assembly.

Not only that, the damn things worked first time exactly as advertised, with no hitches and left me shaking like a KHR-1 servo with anger at how absolutely great a product Matt put together. I shall be thinking twice before I purchase any other quality product from Bauer Independents, especially as the customer service is so good - can you believe that even though the original pair appeared to have been lost in transit, Matt shipped me another set, no questions asked? Good lord. What is the world coming to?

:)

Awesome work, Matt!

Excellent! Glad they arrived this time and everything is well w/ 'em.

You must be out of them by now?

Nope, haven't sold any in a few days. Five sellable pairs still remain. Trying to decide if I should produce another run of 'em... eh, we'll see.

I noticed the Robosayy Shop is selling a limited version of the Robonova-1 w/ the grips and two servos included! Can't beat that!

The grippers are indeed of fine quality and i like the injection of common sense and humour in the instructions.Dont run any more until ya have confirmed back orders as i would hate this to halt or slow any NEW Developments ????

I was going to buy the Robonova kit with the grippers tomorrow, but now it's gone. Damn it!

Has anyone fitted there grippers and set up any further routines that can better Tarzan. I am still to fit mine as i have been trying to get RN to climb the stairs using his standard arms first. If there are people out there that have fitted grippers has anyone fitted temp sensors or pressure sensors to add extra dimension to the pickup ??
be nice to see some pics if you have.....
