Hi. I'm across the country from home installing a robotics sculpture that uses hitec digital servos. Can't tell you the model, they're encased in tooldip... Bought them recently on ebay they have titanium gears, metal horn.
I have two of them running in two identical robots. One of them keeps hanging in a centered position. It idles in an approximate center position and won't release. It's not stuck gears, but it's just not releasing when the microcontroller releases it. Even when I de-power the microcontroller (arduino) the servo, which has it's own power supply, hangs on.
I need to finish this installation and leave it for 6 months, and I need to figure this out asap. Is there a reset command for these? Any ideas what's going on? Only one of the two robots is having this problem, they are identically mechanically and electronically and are running the same code.
HELP PLEASE!
thanks...
