Why won't Robonova run .bas files?

I am testing two "beginner" .bas files. The first is the flying.bas. I load it, he is plugged in nicely and no problems there... Compile --> Run all and nothing. Is there supposed to be a way to trigger it?

Second, I have the KungFu-by-WalkPerkoMattBauer.bas and I don't even get as far as the flying one. When it compiles it falls over and says "no endif statements". I am no programmer and I assumed that this was a finished .bas that would just work.

I am a bit of a newbie so be patient with me... what am I doing wrong?
