I have been thinking about this thread for a while, the only things I can think of relate to the servo hub screws - perhaps too tight, perhaps crossthreaded? I have a few RN-1's, nothing like this has happened on any of them. I have noticed some of the 8498 servo hub screws are tighter than I'd like them to be. They only hold the hub on, they don't need to be so tight - the splines do the work. On the 5498's, the screws torque down the hub, but that's a very tight fit of metal on metal - I don't think the servo hub screws on a 5498 do anything at all once the horn is seated, you could probably take them out as the hubs are so tight on the spline!!!
