loose serial connector on controller

Hiya,

I hope someone can help me here. I seem to have a problem connecting to my Robonova. When I try to download from robobasic I get a error 4 or 5. After checking various things I notice that the serial connector on the controller is loose. Is it possible to repair this?

if so any idea where to get the part from and do you know of anyone who can carry out the repair?

I don't think my budget can stretch to a new controller at the mo.

I never found a pin for pin replacement. All I can suggest is to not use the connector and replace with short cable and line socket. The cable wires could be soldered to the pads under the existing socket. This is the best place to pick up the 3 pins before they go to the very small transistor pack next to the socket. The switch in the connector is not used.

ok, thanks for the info. I'm crap with a soldering iron, would you know of anyone who could carry out this repair?

Where are you in the UK ?

I forgot to say that Hitec are pretty good at repairing broken boards, but I think it will be through Germany.
