I have just built my very first Robo, everything looks sweet except when i am configuring the zero settings the default stance of Robo is with his arms down by his sides, the arms have full 180 degree rotation and the servos 1 is pointing into the body on both sides, this matches the manual as far as i can see
However in the picture of the zero setting in the manual the arms are stretched flat out like a bird, the zero setting tweak wont move the arms up enough to get a flat postion
Help! I am so close to being able to play with him!
p.s. the grip hand posts were amazing does anyone sell these things?
Congrats Snow. It's always great the first time you turn an RN on!
I'd make sure you followed the wiring diagram correctly as well. I did not, figuring that I could set which port controls which servo, but that initial position activates
all servos, and one tried to jam a leg into the body, burning out the servo.
If the wiring is correct, when you try to zero the position, are the incorrect arms rigid or easily positioned? If they're loose, something may be wrong electrically, otherwise, I'm not sure.
bauermech sells the grips at
http://bauerindependents.com. I know if they're on this site as well.
