Hello, I´m a new roboteer, and this is my fist topic, but surely not the last...

I´m waiting to get my RN-1 from this shop, and since the payment I can´t stop thinking about moding the robot, begining in the grip. I was making one hand in cheap alluminium (cuted from various trashted things) with 3 articulated fingers moved by cables. To move that cables I found that cheap micro servo, at first to make test, but I have a question; the NR-1 controller board can move that servo? thats the link:

http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... &rd=1&rd=1

PD: sorry for my english, I´m from Spain and never take english lessons

I just bought 3 HSR-8498HB servos. one was to replace the broken arm one, the other two are for my hands project.
While I like Bauer's grippers, I am the type of person that wants to build my own.
I am just at the design stage at the moment and am looking at what type of grip function I want.
I have noted that the Robo-one rules do not cover a particular attack method involving modified hands.

Marcus.

For the spinning blade you would need the other type of servo. I think its just a regular RC 360 deg servo rated for the RN1 controller.

When I get the plastic insert hands out after installing my grippers I am looking to put a custom BB gun assembly into the RN1 cosmetic hand.
I have also plans for a 600kv stunner for the other hand but this is not a legal thing in the UK. Mind you I can always blame Takeshi!

the first prototype is all ready, with full articulate fingers working perfect, only need the servo to do gripping test. This is the first chance, I will make another two prototypes, one of them with 4 fingers and the other without fingers but with the same articulation system.
In order to get a good grip power surely I will need a high torque micro servo, anyone can tell me some mini servos with high torque?
thanks
