Simpler Behavior Editing

I am an experienced programmer, but dread using the behaviour control programmer, the interface is built for a 10 year old. I opened up the .bpg files, but they are not in an easy to modify format.

I just want to be able to use the same basic commands in a text editor so I can move around in the code and use some basic cut/copy/paste functions. The BCP can do this, but it is very frusterating for someone that knows what they want to do, but has to deal with the 'hold-my-hand' interface

Any suggestions???

I think that you're going to have to wait to get a reasonable programming environment until other peoples projects are more mature. How long that'll be.. Who knows.

One of my projects is called dmtalk. Its goal is to allow a cross-platform C program to talk to the CM5 or to the servos directly. Once that is complete it would be trivial to bind a scripting language like Python or Ruby to it.

My first project for dmtalk is to make a plugin for the Sketchup modeling package and use that to create poses.

There is a tokeniser project in the works I seem to remember. I haven't seen any progress for months though.

A simple print capability would be useful I think.
