Hello everybody,

Today i switched on my Bot and i got the Beep and Servo LED flash like
always. But no one of the CM-5 LED's are turned on and nothing happened
when pressing one off the Buttons. It's also not possible to connect to the PC.I used both Accu and Charger with no effect.Fuse is OK.
Until yesterday everything was OK.

What's that ???????????

if the fuse goes out you still should have the lights when you connect the ac adapter... I would still replace the fuse just in case it broke off from the head...

do you have any burn marks on the PCB?

good luck..

this sounds a lot like a Newbee's Tail, mine has done this from first day.
if i click start , robot terminal, then click enter, enter , enter and so on the robot suddenly twits up on the floor. be prepared to switch off robot because the servos look like they are trying to travel past the point of the bracket.

switch every thing off and then i tryed
trun robot on , click robot terminal,as quick as you can press the # key , which means you press shift 3 to give you # at the same time press the red play button.
try this a few times, cause in the robot terminal window this appears
-System O.K. (CM5 Boot loader v1.31 )

later on another attempt i got the txd light to stay lit up.

unfortunitly if there is a programming solution to this problem i have not found it yet, and as you can tell from a Newbee's Tail there is not a responce with a solution.
perhaps if someone in the know could post the procedure that would be nice. :D
i had looked around the internet for a
bioloid online activation
bioloid online system check
and so on and so on, i don't know if there is such a thing.

Thank you, bye for now and be well from Will.

Hello

well, i changed the Fuse and nothing happened.I also checked the PCB for
burn marks, again nothing and i didn't smelled something when i start the Bot....
I've just seen that the Servos have a little bit of torque when i start the Bot now.But they are still moveable . Not as easy as unpowered but i can move them.
The Bot was running for nearly 6 Month now and apart from 2 Servo Burnouts(when powered with the Charger) he worked fine..........

Try to use the robot-terminal and get to the boot-loader prompt as instructed in the manual.

Hello everybody,
it looks like Toughbeard was on the right Way.Yesterday i gave the CM-5
to one of the Electronic Freaks at Work and he found a faulty Voltage
Controller named "U2" on the Board. He changed it and :D CM-5 lives :D

But the Mode-Button doesn't work now . Also the Play LED is always off.
Start-Button works.Charging too.If i want to change the Mode i have to use
the PC-Software : PCB to come into Play-Mode
Motion-Editor for Program Mode
Terminal for Manage Mode
When poweron the Bot he is always in the last used Mode. Also ProgramLED
is only on when i use the Motion-Editor not with the Terminal.PLayLED never turns on.It looks like every Mode for himself is working fine so far.
When turning on the Bot i also get the Message:System is OK(Boot-Loader
1.31)and then the normal Messages.
I uploaded the Firmware again with no effect.

I want say thanks for the Tips so far but unfortunetly i get stucked again.
Well at least i can use my little funny Honey again........ :D
