Hi all
I have ordered my Comprehensive Kit from RoboSavvy last friday and now I am waiting the delivery.

I am located in Southamerica, Chile, so very soon the Bioloid club will have a member on the south of the planet. I hope to colaborate in the future with some basic ideas to the forum.

Limor has call me yesterday by phone to my office and during the chat I felt kindly welcome on the group. Have to say that customer support from Limor has been superb.

Of course, at starting point I am sure I will need a lot fo you, in order to help me with this little beast. I am migrating from the Parallax BasicStamp word to Bioloid so I will ask a lot of newbie questions before I can get the game rules of Bioloid.

Maybe you can have some advise to me at this moment, perhaps a text reading prior to receive the Kit....anything you can suggest at this time will be very appreciate.

Pls let me include URL of my personal WebSite, where you can find some basic creatures I had build from Basic Stamp. Also you can look around my photos and so on.
The site is in spanish language, so I hope the images will talk by itself.

Thanks in advance and best regards for all of you

Welcome to the club.

As far as things to read.. I seem to spend a lot of time reading the AX-12 manual. Though the best thing would probably to grab the user guide and see what you want to build. If the videos are online those would be good to watch ahead of time too.

well I just started and I am beyond pity :)

I fianlly managed to get the demo running and started using the terminal window.

-Read the manuals,
-read the forums.
-while you are waiting buy some 250V/5A fuses
-while building make sure to mark your assemblies in a way you will remember which is which (my humanoid was triyng to Breakdance instead of walk because I connected everything upside down  )
- loading the program is not enough. you need to load motion data as well.
-watch your fingers, and the cables. he is strong
- dont work on him while he is standing on a table.

Hi Folks:
Thanks for all those advices and tips.
I am reading on second time the User Guide, and now it makes me more sense than the first time, specially the issue that the program (wich gives the robot his behavior [bpg extension]) and the movement (wich gives the robot the way he will move in response the events declared on the program [mtn extension]) are differents files. This is a way I didn't see before on Parallax environment.

I have downloaded vids and all the examples I have seek around, and I have found two other files I dont know the purpose. Maybe some of you can give me a hand on this:

1.- Files with extension X, wich is the purpose?

2.- Files with extension rbt; as far I can get, this is configuration files which resides the quantity and position of AX's of Bioloid...is it correct?

second question here: how we can create this files?
I mean, if I will create a new creature not listed on Bioloid examples, how I can generate this file in order to get the new creature be well recognizes inside the Motion Editor software?

Ok, that´s all for the moment, thanks and best regards to all of you

Hey I am a fellow newbie (noob) and I value all the help from all of you dudes. I am interested in getting a list of all the commands and adresses that are avaliable for the cm5 and ax12+ as the manuals do not contain enough info for those that are not as yet script savy.
cheers,
Tulkas
