Two weeks ago I received from Robotis 4 XL-320, 1 CM-9.04 controller, some Ollo parts and cables and battery for beta testing. I've been playing with them for two weeks and I really like the new XL-320. They have less torque than AX-12 but it will be quite cheaper, and its little size is wonderful for working in small or cluttered desks. Also, using the Ollo parts it's more comfortable and easier than using AX-12 screws and nuts.

For the tests I've built these two simple, little but funny robots:

Hey,

Just a little info for those who, like you, have had the XL-320 for some time: the latest version of the XL-320 firmware seems to uses the Dynamixel 2.0 protocol.
To talk to them with the OpenCM9.04, we now have to use a DynamixelPro object (#include <DynamixelPro.h>).

The support website has been updated and the XL-320 is now with the Dynamixel Pros, in the "Dynamixel 2.0" category.
