Hi all,

I have recently bought a Bioloid GP, it wasn't new but all looks OK as far as I can tell.

Anyway I am starting to tinker with it now and wondered if someone could help guide me through the terminal connection process as I am running into problems.

I am planning on fitting my own Bluetooth Module which I have already, but I am initially testing things out with a 3v USB serial lead that I have.

Anyway, I am connecting to my com port from my PC at 57600, and when initiailly switching on the CM-530 I have the green "mode" LED flashing. At this point if I type v (lower case vee) I get a CRLF, then a LF and then {[CM-530:1.1977]}. All seems good I guess at this point.

I then type M (upper case M) and the CM-530 goes into managed mode and transmits some data. I could see anything in the transmitted data so I used a hex serial capture program and it appears to be transmitting mostly a load of nulls.

The only bit of data at the start looks like this:

00 21 21 08 08 21 21 08 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

Followed by lots of nulls.

If I then try typing help or dump, I get nothing.

I am running the latest firmware on the CM-530, but I am puzzled as to what is going on here.

Can anybody shine some light on this for me please?

Thanks

Gary.
