I have to admit that for a long time I've been skeptical about the Bioloid humanoid configuration being able to hold its own in any type of demanding competition. But I'm happy to report that last weekend, at RoboGames 2007, Royce definitely made a believer out of me. As they say, 'seeing is believing."

Look for more next year! My two wet-behind-the-ears stock bots are going to meld into one 'heavyweight' bot! I'll be running C, LiPo's and I-K if I can possibly manage it.

This is great to hear. I just ordered a Bioloid Comp kit today from Trossen, should have it for this weekend. I've got a Futaba RBT-1 on order through my local hobby shop which was going to be end of May, Mid-June - now it's going to be sometime in July. So I can mess with the Bioloid, which from what I've been reading on the Forums is really a pretty capable bot. The Futaba is coming fully assembled so having a kit to play around with, one that allows many configuration is exciting. Anyway now I am crazy anxious waiting for tomorrow to come.

Okay, I must say that I am very happy I picked up the Bioloid kit, It is very easy to use the manuals are pretty good, I was up and running first checking out the Crossing Gate, and tonight I made the Walking Droid which make this my first walking robot. It is very easy to build with and I don't think it will be long before I am putting together the humanoid. I think I may try the King Spider before that.
