Hello

Searching about how to easily improve CM-5 communications I have found this serial to bluetooth adapter...

May it works connected to the CM-5 with the serial cable?

Yes... I think that pev bluetooth solution is better but my soldering skills and solder are very, very... rusty

I have just done some testing using my BioBlue software and a wired serial connection. The connection was plugged into the programming jack socket and then back to my Samsung Q1. The motion editor was used to test the connection and all was fine.

I then configured BioBlue to use the same com port and tried to send command instructions that would be recieved by the BCP program. Unfortunately I got no response. So it looks like you can't send command packets to a BCP program via the programming jack.

This is not definitive as I do have the bluetooth module connected to the Zig-100 socket so it may be effecting the results but I thought I'd let you know incase you planned to use the serial bluetooth dongle you mentioned via the programming jack.

I should add and have read PC keyboard input to 'interact' with the C test program.

I thought the difference between Zigbee-serial and PC-serial connections on the CM5 are only in the voltage levels (PC serial needs a TTL level shifter and Zigbee needs lower voltage). Both are linked to TX1/RX1 simultanously and I don't recall there being a programatic switch selector.
