When you start the CM-5, do you see ALL the Dynamixels LEDs blinking one time?

When you connect to the Robot Terminal do you see all the Dynamixel IDs as in the page 187 of the quick start book (pdf or real book)?

It's very usual to have a cable not fully connected, either at some dinamixel end or at the CM-5 end of cable connector.

There is two steps. Loading the program that the robot will run ( hex file ) and loading the data the program uses ( motion file ). It's in another menu. Have a look around and you'll find it.

You can do everything from within the behavior control program. All the steps are there in the book. The thing that a lot of people miss is also uploading the motion program.

Sorry. Someone else is going to have to help you with the exact steps. I've not used my CM-5 in over 6 months as I built an interface to talk directly to the servos over USB.

In the behavior control programmer, select the following menu/button sequence:
Management then Robot Motion then Write to Robot

This will bring up the standard file open dialog. Locate the file:
\Applied Robots\Advanced\Humanoid\DemoExample(Humanoid).mtn
on your CD that came with the Bioloid and select it. Click Open.

Page 15 of the Comprehensive kit manual covers this procedure as well.

Good Luck,
Royce
