Hey guys!

I'm now planing on getting a Bioloid Comp just after Cristmas (December 25 2007)! Maybe sooner if there is a sale.

I'm thinking of also getting:

* Zig2Serial

* Zigbee Wireless Module Set

* Extra Battery

* Extra AX-12 Servo

* 6 Axis IMU With Sensors from HUV Robotics

* Hamid's Bioloid Vision Module

What are your thoughts on this? Should I get other parts, sensors?

Extra battery... I think that if you can recharge the extra battery while using the other battery with the CM-5 it's a good idea.

Zig2Serial, you must solder it into ther CM-5, I don't like very much to solder :) I am using www.blueconsole.com BT-Serial. It's half the speed (57600) but I can connect to several gadgets (PDA, PC, Lego NXT...)

I bought a couple of Bioloid Zigbee modules and was underwhelmed with the range. It may have been the noise at RoboGames, but others with Zigbee usually did not have the range issues I had. (Except for the hour or so when no one could talk on 2.4Ghz anything.. probably a cheap video transmitter.)

Its great that they solder neatly into to Bioloid board, but I think the effort to adapt another transceiver would be worth it.

What kind of range are you getting Royce (eg. 2 feet, 10 feet, 20 feet, 100 feet, etc.)?

At RoboGames (again a noisy environment) the range varied from 6 inches to 6 feet at different times.

I placed my orders today!

I got:

* Zig2Serial

* Zigbee Wireless Module Set

* Extra AX-12 Servo

* Extra Wires

* 6 Axis IMU With Sensors from HUV Robotics

I figured I should wait to buy more until I figure out what else I want or need.
