Does anyone use sliprings in these bots?

I have acces to some and I think the bus structure of Bioloid lends itself to a simple 3 way slipring. This would allow the arms to rotate continuously or you could add a waist axis and allow him to spin his torso...

I haven't seen many robot designs that ulitise sliprings - they add an extra dimension to the robot design.
