Bioloid - New User

I am very close to buy a Bioloid from Robosavvy (I have the order ready, just I need to confirm), but I have two final questions to make:

1. I ordered the Zigbee module, are there any wikis or tutorials for connecting this to the CM-5?

2. I intend programming the CM-5 either in C or C#, I read on the advanced manual that there is a C language SDK for Bioloid which is included in the advanced kit. Is this available for people with the comprehensive kit (like me)?

3. Can I connect more that one Sensor module to the chain of servos at one time.

4. Since motors and sensors have an ID can this ID be changed to add more motors or sensor modules?

5. I read somewhere in this forum that using a serial to USB adapter can damage the CM-5. Is this true because I am going to control Bioloid from my laptop and I don't have an RS232 port. I've been using this adapter for a long time with my Robonova and I had no trouble.

6. Are there extra brackets or are they all taken up when the humanoid is assembled.

I am waiting for your answer to place my order

Thanks alot. I appreciate your feedback.

Hi Charles,

1. In the manual, I did this.

3. Yes, I have two sensors connected and working.

4. Yes, it is easy to do - watch the video on the CD-ROM that comes with the kit.

5. You can buy a USB2Dynamixel.

6. Yep, you have extra parts.

I don't know if there is a tutorial or guide, but I learnt that it's soldered on the CM-5

No, it's only included in the expert kit. About programming there is some info here

Yes!

Of course :)

I've never read it... it's very strange because Robotis sell the USB2dynamixel...
