Hi from Will,
can anyone tell me a way to get my rx64 to show in the robot terminal page pictured i posted at robotis ?
my ax12 show up on this page when i plug them in and i can control them fine "good fun".
when i plug rx64 in and run a search in robot terminal i get
[CID:001(oxo1)] which i'm told means the rx64 is pressent.
what i'm hoping is to control the ax and the rx on the same pictured page.
any thoughts?
Thank you, bye for now and be well from Will.

Have you ensured that the baud rate is set correctly? The default baud is ~57k, if you use the dynamixel configurator you should be able to set this and the ID correctly - which in turn should allow use of both these and the AX's (although I haven't done this specifically before). I would make sure to test just one at a time (to ensure there is no ID overlap).

when i open robot terminal i see in the lower right corner of the screen
COM4-57600 is that it?

when i clear the screen in robot terminal, plug one rx64 in, then press mode mode start on the cm2+ i get
cm-5 version 1.15
<-> pc : 57142 bps, <-> Dynamixel : 1000000 bps
ID :
000(0x0) Dynamixels found

this might be a clue perhaps,
any thoughts?

So the COM4 baud is just the rate at which you are communicating to the CM2+ at - the actual baud rate you will be searching for is the 1000000 bps that you saw later. What you want to do is get into monitor mode on the CM2+, make sure you only have the one RX connected (and no other servos!), then type:
"CID 1"
"baud 34"
"baud 1"
"ID #" -where # is the id you want to set this servo to.
-that's it, now you should be set if everything is working properly. To make sure the servo is working, is the red led on the back lighting up when you turn the power on?

-Good luck!

Howdy from Will,
Ar yes Variations, unresolved progression. The question the question.
My rx-64 has undoubtedly shown in the control page that has the ???? In it , “great” Thank you.
This has now revieled a whole nother level, my next question, an opertunity to have some nice productive fun  yaye!
When I set speed to 12 and type on, my rx64 with id 22 seems to turn on, “great”
Then when I type off I get another set of ???? appear at id 23.
I see that any instructions typed after “ON”
I get “[ERR:RXD Time out] “ appears on the bottom of the page that has the ???? in it, and more ???? appear at another ID location.
I must be so close to being able to set speed, turn on and write and turn off I would be able to smell it if I could breath through my nose, its winter here.
Any suggestions would be appreciated; i'll type out what my screen looks like as I type the CID 1, baud 34, baud 1, ID 22,
