Has anyone tried this module. It looks small enough and would fit in place of the Zigbee.

Yes, we have used these modules for the CM-2, I believe the CM-5 was designed to take this module also. I have used this module on the CM-2+ and it requires some small modification to the CM-2+.
If you use one get the class 1 (higher power)
