Did you have to modify just the tibias?
Did all the screw holes line up?

Yes I had to modify the tibias to get the AX-12 to fit and drill some holes.

Coincidentally, I have also been trying to fit my AX12's into the Phoenix body. I have a slightly different setup to the one in the photo but largely similar.
I found that I only needed to drill a few extra holes into each Tibia in order to fit in the AX12's. I have also managed to fit a CM5 into the thorax - although the CM5 did need to milled down a few millimetres in order to fit.
Mechanics are now complete (the easy bit). Next step now is to get it moving (the difficult bit).
