Zig100, RC100, Cm2+ and Cm5 comunication problems!

Hi,

Has anyone been able to connect the Robotis RC100 remote control to a CM2+/CM5 using the zig100 ?

I have the following hardware with me:

Robotis RC-100 remote -1
zig100 module -2 ( configured at the default baud : 57600bps)
Cm2+ -1
Cm5 -1
zig2serial -2
usb2Dynamixel -2

.

I tried the following configurations and got the following results

1. connected two computer using the zig100>zig2serial>usb2dynamixel on each.

i could communicate properly using a tera term program(nmi term ). Hence all the hardware is working! :)

Connected the Cm2+ or Cm5 with a computer( USB2Dynamixel - zig2serial - zig100)

The communication starts but then just stops at a certain point ! i.e in manage mode i get the following :

001(0X01) Dynamixels Found.
[CID:006(0X06)] "

and then nothing is send or received. if i restart manage mode the same happens . same happens even in play mode .

3. Connected RC100 >zig100 to a computer( USB2Dynamixel - zig2serial - zig100)


When i press any key on the remote, i get garbage value on the terminal window, but the communication does not hang, garbage keeps coming :) .

I tried all the possible bauds on the zig100 and the comp. but different garbage keeps coming.


Am i missing something ?

=> CM-2+ / CM-5 can be controlled through CABLES for stability. The message shown above means data CM-5 is transmitting. If you send out command using ZIG-100, CM-2+ / CM-5 does not respond accordingly.

=> RC-100(with zig-100) is compatible with Behavior Control Programmer. You are not getting the direct value of the key, but encoded data set for packet communication. So it is NOT garbage data. Please use RC-100(with Zig-100) for CM-5 / CM-2+.

I had actually not noticed the email notification for a reply.

My mistake , i should have replied when i found the solution.

A few days ago i had found http://robosavvy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1395 .

I understood the zig 100 protocol from there.
