Why is this happening?

Hello everyone: I have added 3 servos to my Bioloid humanoid robot. 1 for the waist and one for each arm to allow for a custom gripper. I have configured the extra servos ID's and ran the check program to make sure no errors pop up. I have checked to make sure all of the servos starting points are correct. With that said, when I run the motion editor his arms appear as extended when in fact they are not. Is this because I am loading a 19DOF? I have not made a 21DOF file yet (still learning).
Many thanks to however responds.

Hi, sniperscope
did you try to change the robot file to Humanoid_ (this file is for 19 DOF) rather than Humanoid. Hope this helps :)

Hello Trey3670: I checked and no they are in the correct alignment. I have been reading everything in site for the last 2 days to see if I can find an answer. Driving me nuts.
Thanks

Hi sniperscope,
1) have you assigned IDs to the extra servos?

2) Try using the robot terminal to set all servos to default positions

Hello mpenoushliev: I have assigned ID's to the extra Servos. I am learning Robot Terminal. I will set the servos to their default positions as soon as I learn how (hopefully tonight). Thanks.

I will as soon as I re-cover a little bit. I struck my hand under the lawn mower yesterday while the blade had not come to complete stop. I ended up in the hospital with a hand injury. I'm on meds for pain. Good day to read/learn robot terminal. will report back as soon as I can.

Well guys I'm up to the point where I understand most of the commands in Robot Terminal. I am positioning, writing and changing the speeds etc.

At the moment I cannot spot any conflicts as the robot is responding to my inputs. Still can't figure out why his arms show as spread out in Motion Editor and do not display correctly. I don't really care except that it bugs me.

My next step is to figure out how capture a clean walking motion in Robot Term. I would be grateful for any hints and tips.

On another note I started my self teaching course using Teach Yourself Electricity and Electronics. Once I understand the basic why of things I'll pickup my first board (Axon or Roboard). There's nothing like a fever for something to motivate someone to learn.
Regards

Hi there, congrats on your progress! If you want to make a custom gate you may want to take a look at the demo humanoid motion file. The fwd walking gate starts from page 60 and is spread through a number of pages, you may wish to use that as a starting point (that`s what I used). Another thing, notice how your body moves when you walk and try to replicate that (it helps alot to rotate the elbow bracket by 90 deg) so you can get the back and forth movemet from the elbow only.

Update:
Hello everyone: Well this weekend I was going to finally start and build my own program for my robot with 21 DOF when I ran into a snag. In Robot Terminal, I tested and can see all of my servo ID's, no errors were noted. But when I started the Behavior Control Program I can see only 19 servo ID's. How is this possible? It's driving me nuts as I have triple checked my connections and could find nothing wrong with my setup. How do I get the Behavior Control Program to see servo ID's 20 and 21? Any hints/tips would be welcomed. Thanks
