Hey everyone, I want to send data out the serial port, and have it control my bioloid.

more specifically I want to use my keyboard or mouse as a controller. So I'll store a bunch of pages on the cm-5 and play the pages by pressing keys...so left arrow and the bot turns left.

Right now when I type play 01 into the robot terminal I see "play 01" come out through my serial port in hexidesimle (sp)

But if I type the same numbers into my serial port nothing happens. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

So I solved my own problem. I am trying to use a program called MAX/MSP to control my bioloid. MAX/MSP uses a serial object to send data out the serial port. I got help from a Gdubb2 and Rob Farrell, but stumbled onto what I was doing wrong. I had the baud rate set wrong on the serial port. All day and all I had to do what set the stupid baud rate!

ok...I am so stoked it isn't funny!
