Hi everybody,
I think about getting a Bioloid Robot Kit and just want to make sure I understand some basic points. It would be great if you could tell me if the following is true:

1)
if I get the comprehensive kit there is NO wireless connection between my PC and the robot. So the only way to program it is to write code for the CM-5 processor on my PC and transfer it via serial or USB cable to the robot.

2)
the only sensory data that the CM-5 receives is sound, distance information from infrared sensors (AX S1) and torgue information from each AX12 servo.

3)
if I get the expert kit I get a wireless camera set for the bioloid together with the ZIG module that can transfer camera images to me PC and also commands from my PC to the robot. The ZIG module uses some form of WLAN !? So I could process the images either on my PC or using the CM5.

4)
is it true that I get the same capabilities as the expert kit, if I buy the comprehensive kit plus ZIG module plus Hamids Vision Module ?
What is better ?

5)
There also seems to be a new premium kit, but I could not find any information about its content or price on the Robotis side :-(
Is there any information around ?

Okay, if you could help me with the above points I would be very grateful.

1) Exactly. In the comprehensive kit there is NO wireless connection. But you have some alternatives here or using a simple BT to Serial adaptor.

2) Yes, but AX12+ offers the data position too and some other information (see AX-12+ manual)

3) Zig is based on Zigbee. I haven't access to expert kit, but I am pretty sure that images processing is on the PC side

4) It depends on what you want to do. Hamid Vision Module is autonomous, you don't need a PC to capture the video. I think it's more interesting, but limited because the microcontroller isn't as powerful as a standard PC, of course.

5) Some info about the new Bioloid Premium kit here

I hope it helps :)
