New Bioloid comprehensive box containing the 18 AX12+ servos has finally arrived. (we also have received some of the last kits containing the 19 AX12 servos).




It contains the latest manual (found here) and latest CD - V0.95 (which can be downloaded here) that has a bug in the example C sources so here's the fix.

Any news on when expansion pack will be available? Or if not the full pack the bluetooth module/ir remote and camera (I think that is pretty much the expansion pack sorry)

The Zigbee module does not come now from Robotis as a finished product, requiring users to convert voltage on the PC side. This module is currently targetted at research institutes and hobbyist with understanding of electronics.

We are planing to stock some spare servos. No definite dates yet.

Do we know which Zigbee module they suggest and what needs doing to it as there seems to be a mount for it on the CM-5 curcuit board?

The manual seems to suggest the standard programming only supports inter Bioloid comms with the Zigbee. Which is odd.

If you Google 'Zigbee-100' there is a Robotis doc that outlines using a Zigbee at both the PC and the Bioloid end. Not sure what the full capabilities are but again am hunting for info. Want to use the Zigbee interface for a bluetooth module

I dont find a camera for the Bioloid only Gripper from Robotis.

I have 2 Radio telemetry modules from here: http://www.active-robots.com/products/r ... adio.shtml that just replace the serial link. They are small and effective and there is a USB attached version for the PC end. I have used them with all sorts of robots so far and they are very effective.

A short wire antenna works too and they can be used without the 9V battery if you bypass the voltage regulator.

Rumor has it there will be an 'expert' Kit that will include the IR remote, Zigbee wireless and a camera. Its mentioned in an early thread

They look good. They do have a lot of good stuff on that site, I use them for my sensors and stuff.

state the maximum baud rate to be 38400. Bioloid default baud rate is 56kbps. I think interfacing the telemetry module may be a bit troublesome.
