I am not sure if I understand your question. If you are asking how to program the REMOCON be advised that it is not programmable nor is it available in Roboplus.
The best you find in Roboplus is a feature to emulate remocon commands but you need to have a Zig2Serial connected to the computer and the zigbee module inserted in the Zig2Serial.

What you program is the Bioloid controller to respond to commands from the Remocon.

To avoid double posting we ask you to read the forum as many of the questions have already been answered.

With regards to the Remocon ID (the Zigbee ID) you should not touch that because both Zigbee modules (the on the robot and the one on the remote) already come paired. The rmeote ID should be pointing to the ID of each other (Remote->Robot and Robot->remote).

If they don't work you should seek assistance in the place where you bought the kit.

I have search the whole Internet and also this forum but no post seems to be talking about the remote that comes with the premium kit. The link you refer to talks about connecting zigbee from pc to robot, right? I even play with the rc100 task file you wrote but the robot just cannot read the buttons from controller. I will bring my robot to my distributor. Just want to seek some help in forum first. Thought this is what forum for.

Hi Bob,

The IR remote only affects the robot when you run in "R"emote mode. After selecting play mode and pressing start, press R to begin remote mode. The robot should then respond to IR commands.

IR input is not reflected in the controller status display. The My Remote ID field of zero in the display means that the controller will resond on any IR channel. You can select a specific IR channel with a combination of CM-510 buttons. See the .tsk file for details.

For the record my IR function works fine, even with three coats of paint on the shell.

I also noticed your post at Robotis about the DMS in automonous walk mode. Try port 5.

I don't have a CM-510 or a remote, so I can only test it with the virtual remote on a CM-5, but this minimal test I wrote might help.

After downloading to your CM-510 with Roboplus Task do a view print of program. Pushing the buttons on the remote should print out different numbers. You can also try with the virtual remote by clicking the little remote icon and that top of the output window.

If someone else with a known working remote can verify this works that'd be great.

I tried the virtual remote in roboplus task and that works and moves the robot. pushing the real remote does not work.

My distributor tells me that the cm510 might be faulty and is contacting robotics. It even fried their IR sensor. They will lend me their cm510 to play with in the mean time. Very nice!!!

Hello,
I had the same problem and I try many solutions.
In fact, the RC100 does not work when the CM510 is connected to the PC via serial cable (only the virtual RC100 works in this case).
When the CM510 is disconnected from the PC, the CM100 works fine (the IR chanel must be the same on the RC100 and the CM510).

My remote channel on the cm510 is indeed fault. But on a good controller it is found that you have to pull the pc cable off the cm510 for remote to work.
