I loaded the new RoboPlus on my XP laptop last night. The upgrade went smoothly and took only a minute or two.
The first thing you will notice is that the main picker screen has been updated. There are now three tabbed pages labeled Ollo, Bioloid, and Expert. The Bioloid page has a graphic of the new premium kit.
The terminal program is now found on the expert page along with a new application, Dynamixel Wizard. You need a modified cable to hook-up your servo(s) and try this, so I haven't run it yet.
The biggest improvement is in the Motion Editor. Here the Pose Utility has been completed. It turns out to be a 3D simulator that's integrated with the motion processing!
The Inverse Kinematics stuff has also been improved. I've read the documentation on this function but I still don't extirely get it. Does it apply to any joints above the foot?
Botton-line, Bioloid owners using RoboPlus 1.0.11 should definitely consider upgrading.
By-the-way, you can see a screen shot of the new Pose Utility in the latest issue of Robot magazine (see other post).
