Robotis posted an updated version of RoboPlus today. I'm still downloading the file (263M). Assuming that the download completes (2hr and 15min) I'll post on any changes I discover after installing it.

It'll update itself when you launch it. I was actually already at 1.0.15.0 .

I loaded the new RoboPlus on my XP laptop last night. The upgrade went smoothly and took only a minute or two.

The first thing you will notice is that the main picker screen has been updated. There are now three tabbed pages labeled Ollo, Bioloid, and Expert. The Bioloid page has a graphic of the new premium kit.

The terminal program is now found on the expert page along with a new application, Dynamixel Wizard. You need a modified cable to hook-up your servo(s) and try this, so I haven't run it yet.

The biggest improvement is in the Motion Editor. Here the Pose Utility has been completed. It turns out to be a 3D simulator that's integrated with the motion processing! :D

The Inverse Kinematics stuff has also been improved. I've read the documentation on this function but I still don't extirely get it. Does it apply to any joints above the foot?

Botton-line, Bioloid owners using RoboPlus 1.0.11 should definitely consider upgrading.

By-the-way, you can see a screen shot of the new Pose Utility in the latest issue of Robot magazine (see other post).

I'm afraid not, but I am sure that Robotis is working on it. As it stands the only resource right now is online.

http://support.robotis.com/en/

The company seems to have rushed delivery on the new permium kits to make them available before Chistmas. Consequently, the documentation is somewhat lacking as this time.

The latest software release has a button for the "User's Guide". Right now this goes nowhere, however it does indicate that they expect to include the manual with the software in later releases.

You can also get help on this forum if you has problems.

I have tried twice and it stops at about 200+ megs. If someone does get it down or know of some other location please post details.
