Is there a way to run the Bioloid software using a mac? I am not talking about running windows over my mac, just running the software native in os x.

I've the same problem. I use Mac OS and the only way for me is with Parallels.
I thought the new software could run under Mac Os, but there is no way.
But perhaps there will be a possibility:
The new soft roboplus use the .Net extensions, and at this moment there is a project, called Mono (http://www.mono-project.com/Main_Page) I didn't try it, so perhaps you can investigate...

Best regards

javi

I just bought windows 7 OEM to install via bootcamp. I think that developers should make robots cross-compatible for all users, because, who doesnt like mac?

"who doesnt like mac?" --

How about google and adobe..

I think what you asking is for robotis to rewrite roboplus in osx 10. Writing and testing will cost too much for them. They might rather spend the resources on improving C++ library etc

The problem is not to like or dislike.
C++ can be used in mac os, there are lots of compilers, which can be used by programmers. I think you can find more than one user who use mac os x xcode tools to programm Bioloid.
The problem are the dot net framework, which was implemented by Microsoft and is impossible to transfer to mac os. Why Robotis did this election? Don't know. But in other robot producer you can find mac os x software,

I have contact robotis two or three time asking for support for mac os and they told me that they were working on it. Perhaps if a mac users contact and ask for support, they can hear our voices.

And finally google don't like mac?????

I think that isn't correct, Mono Project is .Net for Linux and Mac.

If Adobe didnt like apple, than why is photoshop the #1 selling program for mac os x. Also most of Adobe and Google's programs come out on mac first to beta test.

I do agree that Robotis would have to take a very long & costly time to rewrite the roboplus in Xcode, but I am just asking for robot developers to understand that there is some mac users out there that want a naively working robotics software.
