OK I hope I am not giving anything to the opponent.

Here is the quick moving and turning. I have created at least 4 alternative walking and turning motions. This is the quickest. You can also see an alternative walk motion in the vid.

Please do give me as many suggestion as you can to help me win this thing.

The movements look really good. There is not much space to improve this :). Maybe you will need a motion to get quickly back. Something like a large step back to avoid getting hit.

Very good work so far!

really cool !!
i've been watching for the video of 2009 fighting festival and i think you've
reach a good speed level.

If i were you, i'll try to prepare some defense movements, because when your oponent will attack, you won't have enough time to run.
a defense movement for a front, left, right and back attack will be a great advantage instead of a single defense move.

the top is to try to combine a short attack movement (for exemple a foot kick against front and back attack) during the defense motion page execution.

if it's conform to the match rules, you may peharps create some movements like Lei Wulong in Tekken 2.
the robot will stand on its two feet and grippers. from this position it will be able to give some foot kick or stand up.
well, maybe i'm a dreamer...

Good luck

Cheers

EDIT : pay attention to the wires.
there are really easy to catch for the opponent, so try to attach them with some adhesive tape or something like that.

Thanks guys for the different ideas. Please keep them coming.

I think I can still improve the speed a bit. I try tonight.

As for defense, I got a few ideas in mind. But if the opponent is to throw a hit toward me, then it is up to my reflex to press the defense button. That is not very reliable. I wonder if I should just walk away from the hot spot. But on the other hand, if my defense move is in itself an attack move then it is something worse think about.

I am creating all these motions first then I will try to fit them to the limited number of control buttons I have. This is a headache.

BTW hands are not allow to touch the ground. I thought of that. Or else I would do a ground low summer sault toward the opponent and kick him.

So far I find my attack not too amazing. I also need to consider different attack motions for different robot size. If the robot is so heavy then it won't come down with my punch then I need to find another. This is just like the UFC. Using different tactics for different opponents. e.g. wrestle the opponent instead of punching etc, or should I choose to stand the ground or keep running around. This is very interesting.

Overall due to this exercise, I know my robot much better. I can begin to see some limitation with the angle servo. They are not as strong as I want hence when getting up from sitting position, it tends to move slower than the knee servo. Causing imbalance. So I need to adjust for that.

I think the robot in the vid all use AX-64 BIG servos for the lower body. Which I would be great for me :P That should cost a fortune. But I wonder if they will fit to the brackets.

No RX-64's is the bots in the above video. Those bots are DX-117 based. Probably 1 gram under 2kg. RX-64's are quite heavy.

Since the AX12 are not the strongest servos to punch with, I would suggest to use the whole weight/body for take-downs :). On the other hand this can be dangerous, because you have to get really close to the opponent.

This is a Bioloid Premium fight Fruit, the 2010 Robo ONe Champion. The Bioloid performs pretty good. I notice the power off switch is being protect. Just in case, fruit decides to go behind and flip a switch.

I have done a lot of improvement this week. I think I am in par with the 2010 roboone robots. Except for forward and backward walking. Eventhough most robots including tnywave fruit do not walk forward backward, I like to work on this. Grateful if anyone can teach me.

I watched the 2010 roboone videos on YouTube. There are three bioloid premium. They all use type a. Tinywave fruit wins. I think it win not because the robot is a lot superior but because the controlling is good. The kondo khr3 has advantage in maneuverbility. It is much quicker. However it's cg is high and weight low. Tinywave strike a balance in weight and power. Unlike precious competitons striking technique is limited.

Can't you use the default walking motion shipped with the premium? And like you said, the TINYWAVEs survive without it.

Without the "normal" walking you have some keys for other movements :)

I still got a few more ideas for walking.

I just visited robotis site and look at the servos. They look really good. Would be nice to get my hands on some but just look at the price.....

AX-12+ $44.90
RX-10 $99.9
DX-117 $199
RX-28 $199
RX-64 $279

I think everything except the RX-64 will fit the bioloid premium.

The only one that will attach to the frames without modification are the AX-12's. Also. You will only be able to plug AX-12's together because the other servos use a different type of connector/wire/bus.
