Good, it seems you have solve your problem by yourself.
the gyro code section of the last .tsk about stabilization i shared a month ago was doing quite the same thing with little arm balancing as such as you do there.

This is a very good system for my competition. I have put the robot under test. It can withstand stronger blow before following down. It also allow it to stand on rough carpet and not fall even if I push it.

This code however is different to the one from robotis. That one adjust too much to keep the robot level. While mine reduce body oscillation
