Robotis has published additional examples of Bioloid Premium Kit . The Assembly Manual of King Spider, Dinosaur, Puppy are uploaded.

I review the Puppy assembly manual and I found in the first pages that Robotis has removed from the design the AX-S1: it was replaced with a single IR detector included in the Upgrade Package.

Even I haven´t build the Puppy yet, I supposse the lack of AX-S1 will bring severe limitations to the behaviour of the robot, because as far as I remeber, the original Puppy was responsive to sound and also it reacts to obstacles from center, left or rigth.

Any of you have build the new Puppy? Any comments about the blueprints?

Regards

For the few entusiastics on other stuff than Humanoid, let me share the fact I have build the new Puppy.
This new encarnation doesn´t include the AX-S1 multisensor on the blue print, so I suppose at first that the puppy also hasn´t include the ability to "listen". Wrong!
The new CM510 has an internal mic and also the Task manager has a special instruction to sense it.
The IR detection is performed by the new IR sensor provided with the Premium kit.
The model is more stable than the old one in my opinion, the walking routine is more elegant.
The code included in the *.tsk form Robotis is very, very basic and I have to say that the physical complexity of this model deserves the effort to program a decent code for the Puppy.(which I will try to do the next weeks...)
The motion routines include on the *.mnt are very good, very funny. There are a total new one when the puppy perform a complete turn over the body while is laying down. It is very amazing to watch the coordination of all the AX-12 working.
Any suggestion or ideas will be very appreciate, thanks and regards

Of course I have No problems to share...this is what all we do here.

I am working on the puppy using the new tsk, the Robotask software. I have made a few changes on the original software with good results. I have noted that the connection with the IR Detector is very unrelaible, so I have change the IR by the AS-1, which gives me a lot of more options to program reactions based on the multiple sensors of the AS-1.
With little time to spend on it, my advances are modest. I hope to go further in the next month.
Best regards
