I bought several AX-12 motors.

I want to test that without CM-5.(somedays later, I am going to control with atmega 128)

So I excuted universal terminal program.(for windows)

I sent control packet,(FF FF .....) but it gives me odd packet.

what kind of terminal program do you use?

and how do you test without cm-5?

I would look at the example.c code provided by Robotis if you haven't done so already. This shows the creation of a data stream that tests the AX-12s. Without the CM-5 you would have to build a single line driver circuit to connect your Mega128 to the servos data I/O line.
