Hi everyone !

I have got a big issue, and i am quite afraid that 2 of my 3 dynamixels are dead... ! The LEDs when I switch on them are working well.
So, I am working on an arm piloted with the USB2dynamixel
The dynamixel is powered by an 12v external HardDrive alimentation converted by a component in 9v (the 78S09CV) helped by two condensers. I tried the 12v 2A direct too...
I program in Python.
Anyway, everything was working just fine !

But at some point, the servos (id3) where the power was attached, wasn't working, but the 2 others worked... I think the problem came when I changed the ID or manipulate the "read only" or "write only" in dynamixel manager.
I tried many ways to detect him again...

So, I wasn't really sure that my USB2dynamixel and my commands lines work fine, so I decided to check with the second servos.
Allright, the line command to light the led work fine. cool.
Then I wanted to modify the ID... cool... then NOTHING, same trouble as the others...
But when I am piloting the other though the deads dynamixels, the third work well !

I saw a thread about the ID 0 not detected, I tried to change ID 0.... but nothing came out good... !

I hope someone have an idea !
Maybe is there a way to reset the servos ?

Thanks !
Regards,

PS : sorry for grammar, I am french ;)

Try this:

Download Roboplus from Robotis.

Hook up a single servo at a time to the USB2Dynamixel + a power source.

Launch the Dynamixel Wizard (this is new and updated from the old Dynamixel Manager).

Use the firmware restore function within this and follow the instructions. Its a blue 'refresh' button towards the right on the top menu.
